Ethics & standards
Trust requires clear boundaries and responsible practice.
The coaches at Expansive Connection are not governed by a professional licensing board. That does not lessen our responsibility to the people who place their trust in us. We voluntarily hold ourselves to high ethical and professional standards designed to protect our clients, support meaningful growth, and maintain the integrity of the coaching relationship. A “client” is anyone who has chosen to enter into a coaching/client relationship and has signed our Client Working Agreement.

Accessibility and Respect
We work to make our services and communication accessible whenever reasonably possible. Every client will receive professional, respectful treatment and have their needs, boundaries, and autonomy taken seriously.
Clear Professional Boundaries
Coaching relationships require clear, respectful boundaries. Our coaches will not pursue or engage in a romantic or sexual relationship with a current client, whether coaching takes place in person or online, and will not for at least five years after coaching. A coach will also not enter into a coaching relationship with anyone with whom they have had a romantic or sexual relationship during the previous five years. If another personal, professional, or financial relationship could impair objectivity or create a conflict of interest, the coach will disclose the concern and determine whether referral to another coach is appropriate.
Service Beyond Expectations
We aim to deliver more than is required or expected in all of our interactions and offerings. This means being prepared, attentive, responsive, thoughtful, and committed to providing a level of care and professionalism that consistently exceeds reasonable client expectations—without creating dependency or promising outcomes that cannot be guaranteed.

Accountability should extend beyond our internal team.
Our Accountability Board provides outside perspective, thoughtful challenge, and a responsible avenue for raising concerns about our coaching practice.
