Our commitment

Outside perspective helps us listen, learn, and repair.

Expansive Connection voluntarily maintains an Accountability Board composed of trusted peers and professionals who are willing to support our growth, uphold our stated values, and offer honest feedback—including difficult truths when they need to be heard.

The Accountability Board may help us:

  • Listen to and understand concerns about a coach’s conduct or impact.
  • Identify where our actions have fallen short of our values.
  • Encourage meaningful responsibility rather than defensiveness.
  • Recommend changes in behavior, practices, policies, or training.
  • Support mediation or restorative conversations when appropriate and desired.
  • Help develop and monitor plans for repair and corrective action.

Raising a concern

You do not need to prove harm before reaching out.

If an interaction with an Expansive Connection coach has caused you harm, made you uncomfortable, or left you feeling that your concerns were not adequately heard, we invite you to contact the Accountability Board. You do not need to prove harm or determine the appropriate resolution before reaching out.

Concerns will be approached with care, respect, and a commitment to listening without retaliation. Information will be shared only as necessary to understand and respond to the concern, subject to applicable legal and safety obligations. When possible, the person raising the concern will be consulted before identifying information is shared or restorative steps are initiated.

The Accountability Board is not a licensing, regulatory, or legal body and cannot guarantee a particular outcome. Members are willing to volunteer their time and do not receive any financial gain from Expansive Connection for their participation on our Accountability Board. Its purpose is to provide meaningful community accountability, encourage honest examination of impact, and help Expansive Connection take appropriate steps toward learning, repair, and restored trust.
